Terms of Service
These terms cover use of the Journal Scribe generation service hosted at journal-creator.onrender.com (the “Service”). The WordPress plugin that connects to the Service is distributed separately under the GNU General Public License v2 or later.
1. The Service
The Service accepts a service key from a connected WordPress site and, when the key is valid, returns generated article text and images for posts that the plugin has planned. Scheduling, settings, and publishing remain under the site owner’s control in WordPress.
2. Accounts and keys
Access to generation requires a service key issued for your site. Keys may have an end date. When a key expires, is revoked, or is refused, the Service may decline new generation requests. The WordPress plugin’s local screens are not disabled by this Service solely because a key ended.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful content on sites you control. You must not use the Service to generate illegal content, malware instructions, spam, or material that infringes other people’s rights. We may suspend or ban a key that is shared across unauthorized sites or used in abuse.
4. Content responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and publishing any content returned by the Service. Generated text and images may contain errors. Do not publish content you have not checked.
5. Availability
The Service is provided as available. Generation depends on upstream model providers and hosting capacity. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted uptime or of any specific output quality.
6. Fees
If you purchase access, Paddle is the merchant of record and collects the payment. WordPress.org does not sell or collect payment for this Service. Refunds are described on the refunds page.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The dated version on this page is the current version. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
